Mourning Dove on a Branch

Today was really windy in Connecticut, so I decided to get a few things done around the house and then head to a few local lakes to see if any ducks were grounded for the day.  As I was doing chores, I looked out the window and saw this guy (or gal) hunkering down for the day.

I did find a few ducks later in the day.  The duck photographs are okay, but nothing great.  If I can get them looking decent, I’ll post them at a later date.

This was taken with a Canon 7D and a 400 mm lens set at f8 and ISO 400.
