Flock of House Finches

Flock of House Finches

Here’s a photo of my most common winter bird feeder visitors, House Finches.  Whereas the Chickadees and Titmouses are very polite eaters, taking one seed at a time, these guys line up like it’s a buffet line (as can be seen in the photo) and really chow down.  I’m just grateful they’re not the size of Blue Jays, then I’d have to take out a loan to feed them.
