Geese at The Coastal Center at Milford Point, Milford Connecticut

Last weekend, I visited the Audubon Society’s Coastal Center at Milford Point in Milford, Connecticut and took this shot of geese feeding in the marsh.  The Coastal Center is located at the mouth of the Housatonic River on Long Island Sound and is one of my favorite places to visit in Connecticut.

For this photo, I was using my T1i and Tokina 40-800 lens with a 1.4 teleconverter, which made it a 560mm lens.  I was actually hand holding this lens, but was shooting at 1/640th of a second (had to go to ISO 1600 to get that speed) in order to get halfway decent shots.  The Tokina lens doesn’t have image stabilization, so it made this shot even trickier.
