Stratford Point Lighthouse

This entry is part 3 of 5 in the series Stratford, Connecticut

Stratford Point Lighthouse

Stratford Point Lighthouse

This is a photo of the Stratford Point Lighthouse located in Stratford, Connecticut at the mouth of the Housatonic River.  According to the Lighthouse Friends website, the existing building and tower were built in 1881, after several other buildings were either razed or destroyed.  This shot was taken right at dusk from a small beach located near Marnick’s in the Lordship area of Stratford.  I was using a 16-135mm Tokina zoom lens;  next time, I’ll plan on using my 80-400 mm Tokina lens and get a little closer shot.
