River Otter at Beardsley Zoo

This entry is part 2 of 6 in the series Beardsley Zoo

River Otter (Lontra canadensis) at Beardsley Zoo

River Otter at Beardsley Zoo

The River Otters (Lontra canadensis) were probably the most interesting animals at the Beardsley Zoo;  they definitely had the most people watching them when I was there.  They were swimming, flipping, and generally clowning around.  Another great exhibit, which even has a water slide made out of a hollowed out log (unfortunately, they didn’t use the slide during my visit).
