Bluff Point State Park at Twilight

Twilight at Bluff Point State Park

Twilight at Bluff Point State Park

On Saturday, I drove to the Groton/New London area of Connecticut and visited several locations.  One of them was Bluff Point State Park, which was my first visit.  I was very impressed with this lovely area that, according to the DEP website, is “the last remaining significant piece of undeveloped land along the Connecticut Coast”.  My only wish was that I had more time to spend there, but I definitively hope to return.

This photo was right after sunset and the body of water in the photo is the Poquonnock River;  Long Island Sound is just past the land in the distance.  I would love to say the streak in the sky is a meteor or comet, but unfortunately, it’s only a plane (but I still like it).  More of Bluff Point and the Groton/New London area to come in later posts.
