Dark-Eyed Junco

This entry is part 4 of 13 in the series Birds at My Birdfeeder

A few weeks ago, this bird was on the ground close to the bird feeder.  I’m pretty sure it’s a Dark-Eyed Junco (Junco hyemalis), but I can’t decide if it’s a male or female (I’m guessing female, but could be wrong).  He (or she) was only around for a day or two and haven’t seen them again – probably on the way north.
