Photos of American Goldfinch

A couple of days ago, I looked out the window and saw at least a half dozen American Goldfinches (Carduelis tristis) at the bird feeders and the nearby shrubs.  They were enjoying both the thistle feeder and were sharing the sunflower feeder with one of the local Cardinals (see second photo).  Most of the Goldfinches were male, but there was one female – I just haven’t gotten a good shot of her yet.
