New Photography Course coming soon from Legacy Learning

Guitar Learning SystemOne of my favorite DVD instruction companies, Legacy Learning, will soon have a new photography class for sale, probably in 2011. I have the complete line of Learn and Master courses from Legacy (minus the Home School courses) including guitar, piano, drums, bass guitar (discontinued), painting, and even ballroom dancing. Each one has been well produced and the instructors have been great. There isn’t too much information out right now about the photography course, although the tentative lesson titles cover all the basics that a new photographer will need, such as aperture, white balance, ISO settings, depth of field, etc. However, having used the Learn and Master DVD’s in the past, I can’t imagine that they will stick to just the basics. Oh – and Legacy has announced that the instructor for the class is Vince Wallace. I don’t know much about Mr. Wallace, but he has an amazing website with beautiful photos in his online galleries.
My first course was the “Learn and Master Guitar” course with Steve Krenz. Steve covered the basics and covered them very well. By the end of the first few lessons, he had taught us all the notes in the first positions and several chords. However, as the course continued, it became much more intense and required my full concentration, practice and effort. In Steve Krenz’s course, each lesson was broken into smaller sections. Usually, Steve would cover a specific topic; for example he might go over where to find a specific note on a specific string. Then he would work through some exercises and give some tips and the student plays along with him. After that, Steve takes specific exercises in the book and goes over them with you. At the end, of the lesson, there is a recap and it’s time for you, the student, to start practicing. No matter how good any guitar course, it still comes down to practicing to improve.Home School Guitar Learning Systems
Since there’s not much else I can report on concerning the “Learn and Master Photography” course right now, I thought I would post a link to the guitar course. It should give you the flavor of Legacy’s high quality courses. Take a look around the site and get a feel for Legacy – that might help you if you’re considering their new program for your photography learning needs. Please Note: I am an affiliate for Legacy Systems. I search out good companies for affiliation, and Legacy Learning is an excellent company with an excellent series of products.
